Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has pledged to support People with Disabilities (PWDs), ensuring they do not suffer. He distributed health insurance cards to 9,500 PWDs enrolled in the state health insurance scheme and provided life-support gadgets, including automated and manual wheelchairs, crutches, and artificial limbs, to aid their mobility.
Speaking in Osogbo, Adeleke emphasized his administration’s commitment to inclusive welfare, stating, “They are my people; they voted for me, and I will not leave them behind.”
He also announced plans for free surgical procedures for some PWDs to address their health challenges. The Executive Secretary of the Osun Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Razak Akindele, reaffirmed the agency’s dedication to delivering quality healthcare to vulnerable groups at no cost.
