Learning more about each other: Indian authors in Ukraine

On April 17 at 19:00, the public discussion involving the authors from India who came to visit Ukraine within the program In Solidarity With Ukraine will take place at the PEN Ukraine Space.

In an increasingly polarised world, we are tempted to think about each other using all sorts of cliches. Only mutual presence, direct conversation and translation of experience can help us avoid this trap. While the world is learning about Ukraine, Ukraine is also learning about the world.

A conversation with four Indian authors visiting Ukraine can help us start filling the gaps we have about each other.

HE tries to rediscover the sense of life by throwing ball against the wall, riding a bicicle, making lists of things and talking about time and relativity

With the strange and charming characters HE meets along his way he rediscovers simple pleasures of life and learns to deal with post-traumatic syndrome

This month's topic is "Surprise." Did you surprise yourself by overcoming your fear of heights by doing a bungee jump in Vietnam? Mike Wilson, one of the top marksmen in the US Marine Corps and a father of five sons and one daughter, shares his stories of the first encounter with Ukraine, his volunteering to train Ukrainian marines back in 2014, and finally his moving to Ukraine in 2019

The course lasts 2 months
24 classes
English level: pre-intermediate +. The higher the better

Voiceover course for teenagers 12-16 years old!

Course coach: Terry De Chalons, acting and English teacher from Scotland

The program is created in order to teach the child the flexibility of voice and skill with the help of acting to adapt to working with characters in the process of voice acting of films, cartoons, reading audiobooks.

Course concept: take famous scenes from movies and cartoons, commercials and audiobooks and will train to do professional voice acting! On the day of release, we will show the final result of the work!

Classes consist of:
– English acting trainings
– creative workshops
– recording of fiana scenes
