Dear friends!

2023 comes with some changes in our organization 👀
We've decided to focus on what we can do best: create live events where classic musical and opera compositions are combined with modern visual art technology and AI composing🥰

So, we will close our Telegram channel (on Sunday) and focuse more on Instagram. It's been great to have you here, and we hope to see you on our page here:

Christmas calls for hygge style ✨

🎄We don't know whether you celebrate Christmas, but sure that these paintings will bring you a bit of coziness.

🥰These works belong to the Swedish artist Carl Larsson (1853-1919). He is best known for warm, idyllic paintings of home and family.

On this day, 1997, the Titanic movie opened in American theaters.

💰According to the script, Rose [the main character] held an extensive collection of modern art. Of course, in reality, non of these paintings were on the ship and are all 'alive' in our times.

But, here are the trio we see on screen: Monet's Waterlilies, Picasso's Demoiselles d'Avignon, and Degas' Star Dancer.

Winter is coming, making us reach for scarves and gloves, cozy sweaters, and long warm coats.
Here is a bit of inspiration for the outfit choices from different artists.

On this day, 1813, Beethoven premiered his Symphony No. 7, op. 92 in Vienna.

🎶This piece was presented to the widows and orphans of those soldiers killed in the war against Napoleon.
🕺Beethoven conducted the concert in his usual manner — with all possible body movements, even jumping a little.

Of course, there's no recording of Beethoven's conducting but we have one by Leonard Bernstein.
Enjoy 🙂

Who was odalisque?

🧐In European art, many artworks are dedicated to Eastern countries, especially Turkey. The vogue for these exotic cultures started in the 18th century and was called Orientalism.

🧿The most common subject in Orientalism paintings is a naked (or almost) woman, called odalisque. In truth, odalisque was an enslaved woman who worked as a chambermaid in a Turkish harem.

💃🏻In Europe, the odalisque became a symbolic image of Orientalism, a mysterious beauty with exotic features.

#artexhibition

We don't usually write about movies or costume designs, but there is a first time for everything, right?

Look at the Virtual Exhibition of Costumes from “The Queen’s Gambit” and “The Crown” by Brooklyn Museum and Netflix. This is an example of an immersive online exhibition that connects fashion design and museum objects.

👂🏻Entering the virtual museum, you can hear the steps of "other visitors" in the background.
👀You get interactive 360-degree views of costumes from the two series, read the complete information about them, watch short videos from the series and see the photos.
🖼️Among costumes, there are artworks from the museum connected thematically to the exhibition.

🤔Intrigued?
