⚖️🇺🇦 The Cost of the Kursk Operation for Ukraine
1️⃣ Human and technical losses. This is clear - everything that the Ukrainian Armed Forces has is being used against the incoming units.
2️⃣ Losses on the eastern front haven’t disappeared. The Russian Armed Forces continue to advance slowly.
3️⃣ Territory losses in the East also persist. Forced evacuations from additional settlements indicate that the command has little faith in the Ukrainian Armed Forces' ability to hold them.
4️⃣ Debunking the myth that Ukraine is merely defending itself. There’s a public breakdown of the official narrative from Kyiv that the war is purely defensive. This proves our point - the primary goal of the war is to inflict maximum damage on Russia.
From self-defense and "we don’t need anything that isn’t ours" to "they must feel the war too," Zelensky has led an attempt to take CONTROL over canonical Russian territories.
This will inevitably turn some partners away from Ukraine, especially in case of failure. Assisting in defense is one thing, but occupying part of a nuclear state is entirely different☝️
5️⃣ THE MOST FOOLISH THING is that all the territories controlled in the Kursk region will still have to be returned! Whether they are cleared out by the Ukrainian forces or they exit as a result of peace agreements.
Sudzha and the surrounding villages will never become part of Ukraine. Thus, Ukrainian forces advancing and holding positions there is simply pointless, while territories in the east are being lost.
It is clear that Bankova Street is measuring not in human lives and logic, but in media effects:
🔹 The trend among the population for a swift peace has been temporarily reversed;
🔹 To Western partners, it has been demonstrated: we struck Russian territory and faced no consequences for it 😛
So take stock of the true “accounting” of the Kursk operation 🧩
