🗣Group Accuses NNPCL of Harming Nigeria's Economy with Fuel Imports
The Stand-Up South South Security Group (SSSSG) has accused the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) of damaging the economy through its continued importation of refined products.
The group criticized NNPCL for wasting $20 billion on refinery repairs since 2007, with no functional refineries. It urged President Tinubu to hold NNPCL accountable and demand the immediate restart of the Port Harcourt and Warri refineries.
The group also warned that the importation of fuel is undermining local refineries, including Dangote’s, and called for an end to fuel imports by 2024 to boost local production.
