The United States is considering relocating some of its military personnel from Europe to the Western Hemisphere amid an expansion of its campaign against drug cartels. There is also the possibility of returning some troops to the United States to a new large military base planned by Washington.
Currently, the U.S. is increasing its military presence in Central and South America, working in partnership with Ecuador, Honduras, Guatemala, and Panama.
