In the notebook of the north korean special forces officer Gyong Hong Jong, who was killed in Kursk region, he describes how to hunt down a Ukrainian drone and how to hide from Ukrainian artillery. It is currently unknown whether this is an authentic north korean tactic or whether the russians taught them to do so. But this tactic uses live decoy.

Read the full transcript of another entry from the captured notebook, which was captured by operators of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kursk. The entry is completed with illustrations from a soldier of the north korean SOF:

“How to eliminate a drone. When a drone is detected, you need to create a trio (3 people), while the one who lures the drone keeps a distance of 7 meters, and those who shoot - 10-12 meters. If the one who lures stands still, the drone will also stop moving. At this point, the one who shoots eliminates (the drone).

How to avoid the artillery fire zone. If you get into the fire zone, having designated the next gathering point (group), you need to disperse into small groups and leave the fire zone. Another way: since the artillery does not fire at the same point, you can hide at the point of (previous) hit, and then leave the fire zone.”

On the night of December 26, 2024 (from 19:00 on December 25), the enemy attacked with 31 strike UAVs, of which as of 08:30, 20 were confirmed shot down and 11 were lost in location without negative consequences

During the morning russian attack, DTEK company power engineer Dmytro Petlenko was killed.

He worked at one of the thermal power plants. During the search, his body was found under the rubble.

Dmytro was 51 years old, he devoted more than 30 years to the profession of power engineer. He worked for a long time at Zaporizhia TPP. After the occupation of Energodar, he got a job at another thermal power plant of the company, where he worked for the last year and a half

113 AIR TARGETS SHOT

On the night of December 25, 2024, the russian occupiers carried out a combined strike on Ukrainian fuel and energy sector facilities with missiles of various types, air, land and sea-based, as well as Shahed-type strike UAVs and other types of simulator drones. In total, the radio-technical troops of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine detected and tracked 184 enemy air targets:
- 2 KN-23 ballistic missiles;
- 10 S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles;
- 12 Caliber cruise missiles;
- 50 Kh-101/Kh-55cm cruise missiles from Tu-95ms strategic bombers;
- 4 Kh-59/Kh-69 guided aircraft missiles from tactical aircraft;
- 106 Shahed strike UAVs/drone simulators of various types.

According to preliminary data, as of 12:00, 113 air targets were confirmed to have been shot down:
- 55 Kh-101, Kh-55cm, Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 4 Kh-59/Kh-69 guided aircraft missiles;
- 54 Shahed strike UAVs/drone simulators of various types, another 52 did not reach their targets (lost in location).

The enemy attacked Ukrainian energy facilities in the Kharkiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zaporizhia regions. Unfortunately, there are casualties as a result of the russian attack.

The Air Force is ready to repel the attack and continues to perform tasks to protect the state's airspace
